Foreigners who come to China under one of the following circumstances may be exempted from visa application:
(1) Bilateral agreement. According to bilateral agreements or protocols signed or reached between China and relevant countries, individuals from certain countries who meet specific conditions are exempt from visa requirements when coming to China. (2) Direct transit.

(3) The holder of a valid alien residence permit issued by the Chinese public security organ. Foreigners and permanent foreign journalists who go to China to study, work, find employment, have family reunions, and visit their relatives for a long time must apply to the public security organ for foreigners' residence procedures after entering China. During the validity period of the residence permit, foreigners can stay in China and enter and exit China for many times without having to apply for a visa.
(4) Holding a valid permanent residence permit for foreigners of the People's Republic of China.
(5) Holders of a valid APEC Business Travel Card (APEC Virtual Card holders are eligible for visa free entry starting from May 1, 2023).
(6) Go to the Pearl River Delta, Hainan Island, Guilin
1. Foreigners who hold ordinary passports from countries with diplomatic relations with China and have been in Hong Kong and Macao can travel in the the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong (referring to the administrative regions under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Huizhou) in groups organized by travel agencies legally registered in Hong Kong and Macao, and can stay for no more than 6 days without visa.

3. The following countries' tourist groups (2 or more people) shall be organized and received by travel agencies with qualifications approved by the tourism authority of Guilin City, Guangxi. They shall enter and exit the country as a whole through the Guilin Airport port and may stay in the administrative area of Guilin City for no more than 6 days without a visa: Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines.
(7) Citizens of some countries holding ordinary passports who come to China for business, tourism, visiting relatives and friends, and transit for no more than 15 days are eligible for visa free entry. (8) The situation of visa free entry or transit may be dynamically adjusted. It is recommended to consult the Chinese embassy or consulate in the relevant country or the Chinese National Immigration Administration before proceeding.
